Flower Pot Cake Pop Bites!!!

Since being pregnant and at the end of my pregnancy I have had a lot of sleepless nights and it seems that this is the best time for my poor brain to come up with ideas. One night I was tossing and turning and thought forget it I am going to go downstairs and get a glass of water.

While sitting and contemplating to go back upstairs and try to sleep I had visions of cake pop ideas in my head! I found a book and started sketching then popped on the computer to make sure there was a mold to purchase so I could make this idea. Sure enough I found it!!!! I was super excited and then continued to make the sketch.

2 weeks later I had all my ducks in a row and had a burst of energy and boom! I made these sweet little flower pots!! These are all edible the whole thing!!! I hope you like them as much as I do!!!!!

Chocolate Covered Oreo's!

So I thought I would try something a little different this Christmas for my family then Cake Pops. I got a mold from Michael's and gave it a whirl! It was a lot more work to get all the colours but it was fun to make! Here is a pic!

Christmas cookies and Cake Pops!

So I had the pleasure of working with Sherrene Toews of The Sugar Tree in Abbotsford!!! This lady is so talented in the cookie department I call her my cookie diva!!! We got together knowing each other from Facebook and decided to swap trades, she showed me cookies and I showed her cake pops!!! We spent the day doing this and I had a blast! This is what we did in the cookie department!!


I had a lot of Christmas cake pops and cupcake bites and these are some that I came up with!

Happy New Year!!!!!!

Hope everyone had a great New Year!!! A lot has transpired since I last posted.  I have 6 weeks to go before I have my second baby boy!! I was put off work at the beginning of December so I wasn't able to post as often as I wanted to as the orders for Christmas was crazy but in a good way of course!

So I have done some more designs and of course been perfecting my airbrushing techniques for cake pops. I have a lot of new designs coming in for the New Year and looking forward to more variety of baking, more cupcakes, cakes, brownies, decorated cookies, macaroons, breads pretty much everything and anything I want to try!!!! I will be launching a website hopefully in the next 3 weeks then I will be stopping this blog and continue on with the website.

A name change was another major issue in the last little while. So I am now Carmen's Sweet Creations and I am working on changing a few things. All in all its been a bit of a whirlwind!

Hello!!!!!!!!!!!! Long time no post!

Well! It has been a very crazy little while since my last post! I have been dealing with a LOT of orders, being pregnant, sprained my foot, having to change my business name!!! I am now Carmen's Edible Creations! Long story but it all worked out in the end. Oh and I am working on a website so at some point I will be no longer posting as the website will take over this blog.

I hope everyone is enjoying the holidays so far and wanted to share what I have been up to!

I have some Xmas pops and some more airbrushed cake pops as well! Here are some pics!

Playing with some more Xmas cake pops!

I am 100% loving baking of all kinds and Christmas is my favourite time of year that's when all the baking magic happens!!!! I was playing with some designs  for Christmas and here are a few. I actually baked a vanilla cake and coloured it green so inside the cake pops where a nice Xmas green color for a little more of a wow factor!!!! Enjoy!

Not only cake pops here but yummy bars being sold as well!

So I have three new bars to add as I am not a one trick pony!!!!! I made some Lemon Bars which are just delicious and just tart enough and goes perfect with coffee!!!!! Here is a pic!

Also my Turtle Bars which are so good you can't just eat one! Although they are very rich in taste it is a perfect bite to satisfy the sweet tooth! Check them out!

Last but not least Chocolate Caramel bars these guys are again great with a coffee and perfect for your office party or Christmas party! They have a crumble top and milk chocolate and semisweet chocolate and caramel drizzle in the inside!!!!! Delish! Her is a pic!

Baby shower pop!

Hello! Sorry I haven't been on in a while but man can life get busy!!! I did manage to sneak in some new designs for cake pops and I have some addition for some yummy bars!!!!!!

I recently got an order for twins! Boy and a girl and the request was for baby feet and blue and pink cake pops with chocolate for the flavour! I was glad to put another design to the mix but I am not gonna lie the baby feet were very tedious! Here is a pic of what the final product looked like! Enjoy!

Frosty the Snowman cake pops are here!

So I think all of us remember the good old cartoon Frosty the Snowman and of course Frosty Returns!!!! I love watching it over and over and now watching it with my son is even better.

While watching it I thought hey why not make a cake pop out of him!!!! So I did! Hope you like it!

Custom Baby shower design!

So I was asked to do a  baby shower for a client. Just so you are aware I will do custom pops for any occasions. For this particular order the theme was Zebra print, Pink and Purple and a request for baby feet. So I did some brainstorming and came up with this!!! Here is a picture!!!

I also had the pleasure of taking a class with Celebrity wedding cake designer Jay Qualls and I had a blast learning some new ideas for cakes. I am not doing cakes right now as I would like to master some things first. So here is a little peak at what I learned but I have not finished it yet. I will be starting cake orders in June of 2012. Here is the pic!

I had a blast and can't wait to get into all things cake pops, cakes and cookies is something else I would like to master!!!

Christmas Cake Pops!!!!

So I know we haven't even had Halloween yet but I couldn't help myself to do a couple trial runs of some Christmas cake pops!!! I have been using my new airbrush and loving it!!!!! I played with making a present and ornament for the trial run and they turned out pretty good!

I have a baby shower order tomorrow and I will also post some pics when done!!! I will be attending a very well known cake celebrity's class tomorrow at For Cake's Sake in Abbotsford! The Jay Qualls from Cake Boss The Next Great Baker!!!! So I am going to dive into some cake making. Of course I will post some pics as well!!!! Stay tuned...........

Playin with some pops!

So I have been busy with a lot of orders and I had a request for a baby shower and the request was little feet and zebra theme. I will be doing the order and will post but for now this is a rough idea.

Also played with some Black and White swirls and they came out super neat!!!!!! Here are some pics!!!!! I will also be putting up some more baby shower ideas and of course what is around the corner but Christmas!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy!!!! Halloween is on its way!!!!!!!

So Happy October everyone!!!!!!!! One of my favourite times is Halloween so I thought I would do some Halloween themed cake pops!!!!!! These are perfect to give out at your Halloween parties!!!!!! I will be doing a class at For Cake's Sake in Abbotsford on Wed October 19th from 7-9. We will be doing Frankenstein, the ghouly eyeball, Ghost and if time permits a witch!  The cost for the class is $35.00 and will be hands on and you will take 3-8 pops home depending on how long you take on each one. Penguin Cake Pops!

Hello everyone! So I have been a little busy with working and teaching Cake Pops and oh finding out I am having a BOY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I got a little behind on my blog!

So I thought I would share my next order with you guys!!! Special request for these cute and kooky little penguins!!!! They are chocolate inside and dipped in White chocolate and then again quickly in the Black then decorated!!!! I hope you like them!!!! Baby Shower CupCakes!

I had an order to do a Baby Shower a couple weeks ago and wanted to share the pics! The cupcake flavour is Chocolate Malt cupcake with Fluffy Vanilla frosting! I did all the moulds out of gumpaste for decoration. The sex of the baby is not known so my client asked for blue and pink!!! Enjoy!

Halloween/Thanksgiving Cake pops!!!!!

So it's that time of year! Fall and all the wonderful goodies that come with the season! I had my first cake pop Demo class at For Cake's Sake in Abbotsford last week and it went so well! I had a great group of ladies who got to learn Cake Pops 101 Basics. My next class September 28th from 7-9pm will be a Halloween/Thanksgiving theme.

I will be doing a demo on the Turkey and Classic Pumpkin as well Mr. Jack O Lantern!!!! I will be posting these pictures so you can see what can be made and you can make if you come to the class!!! There are a few spots left $25.00 per person and you will take some pops home to recreate yourself!!

I will also be doing another Cake Pop 101 Demo class for anyone who missed out. Please be make sure you sign up for Carmen's Edible Creations classes as there are other cake pop classes taught by another instructor. I will also being doing a Halloween class with again the Jack o Lanterns, witches, ghost, ghoul eye ball and Frankenstein!!!!! Stay tuned for lots of Halloween pics!!!!

Gumpaste Figures for a baby shower!

I love doing any baking for baby showers! Whether it is cupcakes or cake pops! I just recently bought these baby shower themed moulds. Thought I would play with them see what happens, then low and behold I have a cupcake order this weekend for a baby shower! I will post more pics when I am fully done the order but here is three of the moulds!  The sleeping baby will be the only one at the top of the tier and then I will be doing pink and blue of the rattles and ABC blocks as well as booties and a duck and  baby bottle to sit on top of the cupcakes! I will be again posting more pics this week!

1st Birthday Pops!

So my little niece has her 1st birthday so I was asked to make some cake pops. The color scheme was pink and purple. I did some swirls, used some sanding sugar to get some sparkle. I uses gumpaste for the #1's. The cake was a funfetttie with rainbow chip icing!. Here is a pick!

Halloween Cake Pops

So yes it is that time to start getting the house smelling like fall baking, and decorating everything to get the spooky Halloween feel! I love Halloween, seeing all the houses done up and the kids having so much fun dressing up and going trick or treating. I thought I would do a variety of cake pops as one of my classes that I will be teaching at For Cake's Sake will be a fall/Halloween theme. I started with the ghosts, and did Jack from my favourite show A Nightmare Before Xmas in case some of you do not recognize the character.

I am waiting for a huge colored chocolate order in a couple days and then I will be doing some pumpkins, mummy's, ghouls and maybe a witch if I have enough time with all my orders. So I will post a pick of what I have done to date and stay tuned for more! Don't forget to get your Halloween orders and Christmas orders in the sooner the better!!!
